Mary Davenport, MD
Mary L. Davenport is a convert to Catholic Christianity, entering the Church in 2003. She is an obstetrician gynecologist in private practice in the San Francisco Bay area. She initially entered this field motivated by the belief that contraception and abortion were vital to women's health. Gradually discovering the truths of Humanae Vitae in her personal and professional life, she stopped providing abortions in 1984 and artificial contraception in 1998. Currently she is on the boards of the California Association of Natural Family Planning and the American Association of ProLife Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
